while nlp patterns are helpful and effective, they can be windy (lengthy, u tend to ramble a lot.) in a hypnotheraphy session or nlp class, this is fine but in regular conversations especially when no one is supposed to know what ure doing, it stands out like a black face in a Chinese crowd.
the aim of covert hypnosis is after all to be covert. that being said, a lot of patterns r just too long to apply in 'normal' conversation. one method i use is truncation. i truncate long statements to their salient points. I'd also be more interested in the fact that dissembling whole patterns into micro patterns can be just as if not more  effective.
as social engineers im sure ur minds are already coming up with ways to improve the efficacy of our art. what better way to achieve that than by sharing and fine tuning ideas and concepts with fellow artists.

Hi Xero,

Could you talk more about truncation and could you give us a specific example as to how you do it?
