I think if one is totally lost and has absolutely no idea what he is doing with women, then he should start with Mystery. Ultimately I am of the opinion that one should learn from as many sources as possible and find what works for him and what doesn't. For exmaple, if I'm in a dance club, NLP/SS techniques do not work well because the lady can't hear me. So, knowing the MM system and how its various parts work enables me to attract women in that enviroment, then move her to a different location where I can start doing patterns/demonstrations/elicitation, etc.
Either way, start with your state. That is the most important. If your state is all wrong, nothing will work. I promise that. If you're state is good, and you don't over emphasize the results, just have fun, you'll do fine.

I;m not the most adept in this area, necasserily, but I do believe that one had to find the form that let's them communicate a true message of who they are.  Now, the world has many people, so different tools may suit different folks, and a person may go through a few levels, but I think that it's likely that a person will only be able to succeeed when they connect with a form that is true to who they actually are.

I mean by this that a man needs to be able to connect to a woman in a way that demonstrates something genuine about who he is at his core, or else it won't have any reality or meaning.  In the most egotistical form of seduction for conquest, the truth must be that she fell for something that is unique to me, and thus just being a replicationation of something that is not you on any level.  There has to be some connection between your owni nner identity and what works for you, in some sense.  When you find the system of thought that reverberates in a way that you feel inspired by your own thoughts, then you are on the right path.  It may be mystery method for you.  It may not be.  Anyone elses thoughts on that method do not matter, it's what it stirs in you that matters.  I've met guys who had the flamboyance they had always denied as straight men suddenly released by Mystery Method.  It can liberate a certain type of man to let go and be who he wants to be, and that confidence will let him win the ladies.  But a man who just peacocks for meeting women is like the old cliche' of a disco guy with a hairy chest and metal medallion.  He's not being himself.  Now, as a guy who has dressed in drag for halloween, I can say that women respond to eccentricity.  But,  the thing is it has to fit you.  Really.  While being just who you are is not necessarily enough to win hearts, the discrovery of the right approach is based upon the recognition of a truth that will let you explore some element that you find inspiring.

Some folks want to be outrageous, some want to be poetic, some want to be sincere, some want to be this, and some want to be that, and some what to be something else altogether.  It's not what people want, it's what resonates in your own experience.  It's about finding an approach that let's you communicete an aspect of yourself you have not noticed yet, and that's what will make it the right approach for you.  That's a personal feeling, and it may take exploring the concepts available.  If you describe what you feel and what you want, then it may point in a certain direction. 

In the end, if it's the right thing for you, you'll feel like yourself doing it, basically,

Additionally, I believe something that warrants mentioning is that most people do not spend enough time learning who the person he/she is trying to create that connection with.  Personally, I invest most of my time in finding out that person's values and interests and then I respond with the kind of details within the scope of my beliefs and interests that most resonate with the prospective girl.  So it's all about relating to that girl in a very genuine way.
